The Congregation of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary in Nigeria joined the universal church on Sunday, 20th November, 2016, to celebrate the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ as the King of the Universe. The celebration of Christ the King served as a reminder of the centrality of the mystery of Christ in both our lives and in our worship. Through the Eucharistic procession, Christ was exalted as our Divine Saviour, as the centre of all human history and as the one who reveals to us the very meaning and purpose of our lives.
The Director of Communications through the Facebook platforms of some of our priests and WhatsApp group chat of the Nigeria OMV priests gathered a fruitful and successful Eucharistic processions, which followed immediately after the Holy Mass, took place in the various places served by our priests. Our newly ordained priests were not left out in the celebration as they narrated their experiences. May the Eucharistic Jesus continue to bless us and our families as we place our trust in Him. We leave you with some of the pictures we were able to gather from the various places our priests celebrated the solemnity.
